Cute AF Canadian Sustainable Swimwear Brands

Alright, so I’m going to be in Hawaii in about a month. I’ve been scouring the internet for cute swimwear that comes from an ethical/ sustainable focused company. I found so many amazing options, but the catch was, they all charge in USD.. and a few don’t ship to Canada… SAD!

So, I've created a list with a few standout super cute options for us Canadian Babes. I’ll be reppin’ some of these suits to show off my pretty + sustainable style (psst.. you should too)

*P.S. before I jump in, I wanted to mention.. I choose to think of these suits as a form of an investment. Some of these suits might be considered to be on the expensive side. However, these are really good quality suits that will last many years. Swap from low cost + cheaply made swimwear to slow fashion +made with care swimwear!*

This company’s founder, (#girlboss) Betsy Campos has a core belief that all fashion businesses should play a part in designing the best version of the future. Love this!

The suits are handmade in Canada, with a team of super talented female designers. The line has a very wide range of sizes with a range from X-Small - 4XL.

Here are a few of my faves:

OCIN uses 100% recycled polyesters from plastic bottles saved from landfill and recycled nylon in their fabrics. Additionally, they use plant-based packaging materials when they ship your new swimwear!

And the cherry on top, is their swimsuit recycling program. They take back previously loved swimwear (many consignment stores/ reselling doesn't typically accept swimwear) OCIN ensures the pre-loved swimwear is disposed of properly PLUS you get 10% off your next purchase. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Here are a few of my faves:

Saltwater Collective’s mission is to encourage women to embrace what makes them unique. They believe that beauty comes from confidence and they want their customers to approach their daily lives with this mindset. Saltwater Collective’s fabrics are made from abandoned fishing nets and plastic scraps. Love it!

One of LONDRE’s core values is conservation, and they use only the best available in sustainable textiles and biodegradable and reusable packaging, without sacrificing style and comfort. LONDRE also makes their products locally and ethically in Vancouver, BC.

Here are a few of my faves:

If you haven't heard of Poshmark, you’re probably living under a rock..

Poshmark is insane for allowing users to buy and sell previously loved clothing, accessories, footwear and home-ware. They include swimwear as well and that is a really great sustainable option where you can find NWT (new with tags) swimwear at a very reasonable price. I just bought this:

There you have it Canadian Ladies.. go invest in a piece that will add even more confidence when you go strut yo goodies at the pool, beach, lake, river, wherever your damn heart desires.
